It’s Memorial Day weekend! What are you doing to enjoy the holiday weekend? If you’re in Denver and live music is your bag, here are a few suggestions for where you might find some good gigs.
FRIDAY, MAY 24
Local indie band Land Lines will headline a show at the Hi-Dive, 7 S. Broadway in Denver. Also appearing are The Seven Hats and Esme Patterson. Tickets are $6 each, available from the Hi-Dive. Service charge may apply. Doors at 9:00 PM; show starts at 10:00. Ages 21+.
Singer-songwriter Joe Pug is making a stop in Denver at Swallow Hill’s Daniels Hall, 71 E. Yale in Denver. Opening the show are Anais Mitchell and Jefferson Hamer. Tickets are $20 each, available from Swallow Hill; discount available for Swallow Hill members. Show starts at 8:00, and is all-ages.
SATURDAY, MAY 25
The annual Denver Day of Rock, a FREE outdoor music festival benefitting Concerts for Kids, takes place on multiple stages along the Sixteenth Street Mall area of downtown Denver, featuring both national and local acts. This year’s lineup includes country singer Lee Brice, along with Fishbone, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Take to the Oars, My Body Sings Electric, Wendy Woo, Desert Noises and many others.
