Looking for some great live shows this weekend in Denver? Thought so. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 18

Rob Drabkin‘s 6th Annual Birthday Bash is happening at the Bluebird Theater, 3317 E. Colfax in Denver. Opening acts include SHEL and Dave Tamkin. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 day of show, available from the Bluebird Theater. Service charges may apply. Doors at 8:00 PM; show starts at 8:30. Ages 16+.

Local indie-rock act Instant Empire is having a CD release show at the Hi-Dive, 7 S. Broadway in Denver. Opening acts include Hindershot and Gun Street Ghost. Tickets are $6 each, available from the Hi-Dive. Doors at 9:00 PM; show starts at 10:00. Ages 21+.

Local singer/songwriters Wendy Woo and Nina Storey are headlining at Swallow Hill’s Daniels Hall, 71 E. Yale in Denver. Opening act is Katie Cole. Tickets are $20 advance, $22 day of show, available from Swallow Hill. Discount available for Swallow Hill Members. Show starts at 8:00 PM. This is an all-ages show.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 19

The Concert for Cash benefit concert will be held at the Oriental Theater, 4335 W. 44th St. in Denver. Featured acts are Bop Skizzum and John Common & Blinding Flashes of Light. There will also be a Family Show at 2pm featuring Highland Ramblers. Tickets are $15 for the afternoon show, $20 for the evening event, available through Oriental Theater. Service charges apply. Doors at 8:00 PM for the evening; show starts at 9:00, ages 18+.
